Burntwood - External Works and Landscaping

Front Garden:

• Temporarily removing existing garden fixtures, excavating turf and soil to a 100mm depth, and levelling the area.
• Installing timber edging around the garden, laying and compacting crushed limestone, followed by a layer of builder’s sand.
• Installing a weed barrier membrane over the sand with secure overlap.
• Placing 30mm thick artificial turf with proper adhesive and pegging as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Applying kiln-dried sand to the turf, brushing fibres upright, and cleaning the surrounding area.

Rear Garden:

• Remove bicycle lock and modify existing metal gate to install a double-sided digital lock with a shroud to prevent external access.

• Modify fencing to create an opening for a new 1m x 1.8m timber pedestrian gate.
• Install a keypad access control system with heavy-duty maglocks, determining necessary power supply route.
• Regrade the ground for a level approach and install concrete flagstone surface at the entrance.

• Remove any non-functional solar/PIR floodlights and wiring.
• Install new LED floodlights to illuminate the pedestrian entrance.

• Clean and repaint existing fencing and new gate with timber preservative paint.
• Repaint the ornate metal entrance gates.
