DESCRIPTION
The leadwork on the ornate timber fascia to the front of the branch had failed, so the timber was suffering from rot. Through surveys, we found that the top board and the moulded coving section directly beneath were rotten in several areas (including the entrance arch itself).
We erected a fully netted and double boarded scaffold around the front of the branch, giving safe access and egress to work. With this in place, we removed the failing leadwork and all rotten sections of timber. The timberwork was made to match on a like-for-like basis off site and then installed. Once the rotten timberwork had been replaced, additional repair works were completed where required. Upon completion of all repairs, we re-decorated the timber and replaced all the leadwork with new.
