Tewkesbury - Restoration and Safety Improvements

Overview

T&D Design and Build were appointed to carry out essential access, survey, and cleaning works to improve safety and prevent further damage to the property in Tewkesbury.

MEWP Setup & Traffic Management

To safely access the upper levels of the building, our team deployed a MEWP and put a full Traffic Management Plan in place.
This included:

• Road barriers and cones
• Pedestrian protection
• Clear signage in line with Local Authority requirements

Setting up on a Sunday helped minimise disruption to the local area.

Weldmesh Installation to Prevent Pigeon Access

Using the MEWP, we supplied and fitted 50mm x 50mm galvanised weldmesh to any accessible gaps or openings where pigeons were entering.
This provided a durable solution to stop further ingress and protect the building.

Structural & Timber Frame Survey

A Structural Engineer and specialists from Oakley Frame attended site to complete a detailed inspection.
They:

• Checked render panels and exposed timber
• Marked areas of concern on elevation drawings
• Confirmed the stability of the façade

This survey helped identify key areas needing repair.

Loft Guano Cleaning & Decontamination

Our environmental team carried out a full clean of the loft space, removing all pigeon guano and contaminated materials.
The team followed strict biohazard procedures and used specialist disinfectants to ensure the area was safe and hygienic.

Result

The property is now secure from further pigeon access, structurally assessed, and fully cleaned — ready for any follow-on repair or restoration works.
